Today's matchup for "Babe of 05" is
#2 DEM Seed Supriya Christopher
vs.
#7 GOP Seed Jeannette Mason
Supriya Christopher who came up just short in her campaign for Bob McDonnell's House seat, is one of the up and coming stars in the Virginia Beach Democratic Party. Is she also the woman who can snap the GOP winning streak in Babe of the Year?
See Supriya Christopher here.
Jeannette Mason spent 12 years as the first lady of Fairfax City. Can she deliver a GOP upset and be the first babe of Virginia?

Christopher came just short in McDonnell's seat??? She lost by almost 12 points. You need to check your facts, she is moving to the D.C. area. Her husbabnd has already moved and her house is for sale. I guess she won't be doing much in Virgnia Beach.

Notice a running pattern here, NLS? The Democratic candidate for Babe leads until shortly before midnight, when the Republican's supporters vote however many times to win by a comfortable margin. It's not quite the gerrymandering of 2001, but it does seem that the Republicans have a favorable landscape here.
This is a remarkable waste of time.
Not to mention that I suspect some of your readers might be women or even gay men who find your choices of "babes" limited.
But mostly, by making it all Democrat versus Republican, you're really not going to get an accurate representation on anything.
It's not too late to switch to a "one vote per person" rule or to re-arrange the brackets so you have some R's vs. R's and some D's vs. D's.
Or to abandon this and actually talk about issues or events.

ZB, I agree that this is a collossal waste of time, although I will admit voting for Jennie Golden a few times yesterday (before dusk fell). I'll probably vote for Jeannette today.....
I do think it's funny that you can turn everything into a partisan grudge-match. Face it: with the exception of Shayna Englin, the GOP just has a lock on the hot babe market right now. :)
Now can we talk about some of these specials already and quit playing "rate my spouse?"

NJH--I'm not the one turning it into a Partisan grudgematch. Why else are the pairings ALL D vs. R?
But I think we're agreed that this is a collosal waste of time.

Less Babes, more on the special elections.

The R advantage has more to do with matchups then partisanship, I think.

Got a Christmas card from McDonnell - hadn't seen is wife before - very beautiful lady! Actually, I had to look closely to figure out who was the wife and who were the daughters!
