A source close to Senator Edd Houck told me tonight, they are more than 90% confident Edd will stay in the Senate, rather than join the Kaine administration. Should he stay around and run in 2007, this is another plus for Democrats dreaming of a Senate takeover.
I hadn't heard that Houck was being considered for an appointment. What was he supposedly considered for?

And Johnny Damon said he would "never" play for the Yankees...

Houck was rumored to be taking an appointment as secretary of education.
That kinda stopped when Kaine realized he would lose the seat.

Guess that Not Not Jay Hughes scared Kaine on this one. Not only would they lose the Houck seat, but they'd get a conservative in there to boot!

Be patient still folks... though I must say the entire debacle (and it was) over folks scrambling for the opportunity to run in the 17th was interesting at best.
Back to focusing on reality in the 4th Senate seat, then the 97th House!
