House GOP Caucus Is Not Too Smart

HELLO readers of NLS!This is NotChapPetersen reporting in.

Well life has been treating me well and while I was vacationing in Hawaii the other day I happened to hear a little secret from an upset Republican Delegate. The House GOP Caucus in all of its infinite wisdom has been talking to various failed 2005 Delegate candidates and is thinking about moving them into neighboring districts to run.

While it would seem best to leave failed candidates in their originial districts the GOP Caucus feels otherwise and has been chatting with failed VCAP Republican candidates getting ready to ask them to move into other district.

This is a time for Democrats in Virginia to rejoice! Republicans have stooped so low that they are now beginning to reuse failed candidates!

Now if only Ben Tribbett will primary Delegate Dave Marsden all of my wishes will have come true!

-Yours always,

NotChapPetersen

Come on...name some names.

NAMES NAMES!

NCP*I saw you sun bathing by the volcanoes

NotChap, I have heard nothing of this plan - and it sounds like one of those rumors you guys are so famous for. Any specifics?

Moreover, Speaker Howell is still pretty angry at most of the VCAP challengers, especially Craddock and Chapman. So this report does not even have the ring of truth.

NJH

Michael Golden, Shaun Kenney and a couple others who looked at running against RINOs then backed down

I think it's a great idea.

Jarvis can move to Alexandria to run against Brian Moran.

Kenney can move to Arlington and run against Bob Brink.

And best of all, Chris Craddock can move to Richmond and run against Donald McEachin in a majority/minority district, highlighting his views on Africa.

Not Chap- Welcome back, you haven't posted in a while. Do me a favor, and give me a heads up before you put stuff up next time, OK? Good story.

Also, we don't put Dave's name in blue on this site. :)

1. Shaun Kenney didn't run.

2. Where would Michael Golden go? He's already lost twice in Burke.

So far, you've only got one guy who actually ran a race, and you haven't said where he's going. The rest "backed down." Hardly the story you portrayed in your original post. Just because someone backed down doesn't mean he conceded defeat. Ben will tell you that until he's blue in the face (no pun intended).

Well, it never stopped Leslie Byrne... ;-)

NJH-I agree this seems to have holes, but I don't disagree with it entirely if it's true.

NJH-I've been trying to reach you, send me an e-mail if you can at chairman@vatars.org

NCP, are you saying these VCAP guys are supposed to move and challenge sitting GOPs or challenge dems?
I.e. is this Craddock moves to Manassas to primary Parrish or Craddock move to the 35th to challenge Shannon?

Good point, Rtwng - the GOP seems to have taken a page out of the Democrats' playbook. Run the same wingnut time and again and eventually she has to win something. Even if she screws up and ticks off the voters each time....

Vince, I don't do offline conversations. Ben's already gotten that message. Sorry. I like your tenacity but I stay ghostly like Mosby. Maybe at some point I'll change my mind, but for now I'll hang back and throw grenades. Someone's got to be Ben's conscience.

NJH

NJH=Brad Davis=no conscience.

NJH, what do you mean Shaun never ran????

912 anon- if you are correct Mr. Davis has not been in class this week, as Not Jack did some posts from the General Assembly Building. If he was teaching, you have the wrong man.

Chapman seems ready to win in the District he ran previously in with Parrish very ill. Chapman would be crazy to move again. Craddock did win his primary but he was one of the most unprepared candidates that we have seen recently. We need to elect leaders not just people that memorize some talking points.

"We need to elect leaders not just people that memorize some talking points."

You mean like Steve Chapman?

No I did not mean Steve Chapman. Chapman did beleive what he positioned during the campaign. Your comment is not too surprising since you ran the most disengenious, slanderious campaign in the Commonwealth against Chapman. I think Chapman might have been challenged with legal problems he did work hard and was committed to his values and position.

Anyone see Mudcat Saunders on Hannity?

Conservativepwc-

I come to the aid of Anke on this.

I saw the nastiness of the campaigns, and Chapman had alot to do with the nastiness.

Ben: The General Assembly Building has a public wireless network, so I'm not sure what my location has to do with anything. In fact, I'm using that network now while I'm waiting for the Committee action to start. It allows us regular folk to keep you in line even when we're witnessing our government in action.

NJH

NJH, I was using the IP to show people you were not Brad Davis (unless he isn't in school today).

Some days even I don't know who I am.
