Did you hear that Stephen King and John Grisham are hosting a fund raiser for Webb in September?
I would imagine that fundraiser will do well.

NotFrenchCheese.... it is true it was in today's Daily Progress: http://dailyprogress.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=CDP%2FMGArticle%2FCDP_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1149190293046&path=!news
Grisham lives in Covesville which is a rural suburb of Charlottesville about 10 miles down 29 in Albemarle County. I expect it will bring in some well needed cash. I remember back in the 05 races a statistic showing that Kaine raised more money in Charlottesville-Albemarle than he did in the entire Tidewater region. There is a ton of money here.

Uh, no, there is no similarity. She had an 18 point lead and blew it. Webb has been playing catch up this whole time and what? one poll (freakin Zogby interactive) and we're supposed to think of Allen as the comeback kid if he moves back to the lead in the next poll?
This is a totally different race. In ten million different ways. Allen is the boring old politics-as-usual crap in a year where that ain't going to fly. No matter what weird analyses are posted on blogs, Allen can't be made into an insurgent candidate that's on a mission to defeat the "Webb machine".

brimur, Waldo was saying Allen is now Mary Sue Terry who lost after having a commanding lead and money advantage.

I think this has an interesting resemblance. Perhaps Allen will find a way to turn it around that Terry didn't think of. There's still a lot of time left. A very thought provoking post one way or the other.

allen 06 = terry 93
webb 06 = allen 93
Waldo's got right, sort of, I guess.
