Jim Webb's Son Watches Non-Midget Porn
and Jim Webb Junior ("Webbstah") responds.
If Jim Webb's son is going to have his myspace profile dragged into this campaign, can we ask if the rumors are true on who Forrest Allen is named after?

Let's see.... A 24 year old Marine - getting ready to deploy to 7+ months in 100+ degree heat - and he wants to look at porn? Duh!
He gave a good response - and it's too bad no one has noticed his 3 friends who were recently KIA in Iraq. Sad sad world we live in.

Rock on Webbstah. I put on my calendar to send him and his mates a care package late next month.
I hope Charles, Chad and I.Pub have the balls to read Webbstah's fine, funny, ironic writing. Then go sign up boys.

I fail to see how a father would be held responsible for something his grown son does, so I don't see the story here.
I understood democrats launching attacks at Allen, but why Webb's kid? I don't get it....

Maybe F.A. got her name like Forrest Gump -- as a reminder of the mistakes people make; like hanging a noose from a plant in one's office and using racial slurs against people of different ethnic backgrounds.

Wonkette is a humor site with an emphasis on Washington, Charles. It's humor and Webb's son got it and his post is brilliant. Do you know what "humor" is?
Posted by: Doug | August 17, 2006 at 08:45 PM
Considering that Wonkette has no stake in this race, being based in DC and only picking up on VA news when its either highly amusing or national news, is non partisan, will mock both sides without mercy, and posting the public profiles of candidate/elected offical's kids is what Wonkette DOES... really, how many times does it have to happen for everyone to realize that "public profile" does not mean "private profile"? It takes five seconds to go to MySpace and type in "Webb" under the search bar, or on Facebook or what have you. Make your profiles private, people, and this won't happen to you. I'd have thought that anyone in Virginia would have known this after Lowell's posting the profile of that Republican woman on RK. At this point, it's really your own fault when someone skewers your public profile on a site that spends the majority of its time skewering public profiles. Especially when Daddy's spoken frequently about how you're in Iraq, and is wearing a pair of your combat boots all the time. He should have hit 'private' the day Jim Webb decided to run for office.
Good for him for responding better than Chaz Bono, whose response when this happend to him was "Guess I learned not to say too much about myself on public profiles" or something to that effect.

Combat Marines can do whatever they want. Long as it's legal.

After reading his response, I'm glad he didn't hit private. This whole thing was a one round fight and KO scored by Webbstah. I don't know how anyone could be anything but proud of that Marine.

People are careless on MySpace. Like this guy http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=94540609

Melissa, why should a grown marine have to make his space private just because his father runs for office?
As I asked before, what difference does it make? This just plays into the new gutter politics stuff where everybody goes personal, even attacking politician's children.
I understand he responded well to it, which is great, but why circulate the story even more by posting it here, and why should he have to go "private"?
I'm not approving of what he says or does, nor does he need my approval. I'm just saying there's no reason for Wonkette to bring it up, and there's no reason to perpetuate the story here....

Charles, I ignored it until I saw it on two GOP blogs here in Virginia (Kilo and James Young, I think). Neither of them published his reply, and I was fed up.

Can we stop all of this?! Its so retared!
Webb-stah is in Iraq, I'd want porn, too! Can we lay off the family members? Is that too much for both sides to maintain?
Nothing frustrates me more when stupidass stuff like this starts getitng discussed for real.

And Ben, that stuff about his son is cold man. Ice cold.
Posted by: Mason Conservative | August 17, 2006 at 09:17 PM
I think THIS Jim Webb Jr. is the one that George Allen should really fear.
In a head-to-head match-up I'd be willing to wager that George Allen's favorability numbers wouldn't even match "Webbstahs" age.

Great job NLS, if those guys were using it for play, you definitely showed the humor on both sides. I don't think Webbstah needs mason or charles (or would want them) defending or even worrying about him.
You did a great job. I love it.

I made a similar comment over at Jim's site.
I just hate when people's families get dragged into things.
Posted by: charles | August 17, 2006 at 09:21 PM
And NLS, since your post only mentioned Wonkette, and she's hardly a right-wing or republican sympathizer, I didn't see why her posting something about Webb's son gave you the right to attack other people in Allen's family either.
Posted by: charles | August 17, 2006 at 09:23 PM
And Mason, I'm going to assume you are being incredibly dense about what happened here saying that about Ben. Wonkette posted the funny write up about webbstah. Your dorky friends posted just that part and the myspace and probably went to town highlighting things he wrote. Ben posted webbstah's reply! His defense. And it was a thing of art with typos. And that was beautiful and I hope Wonkette has the stones to post that up in the morning. I'm pretty sure they will.

"oh, go pats, btw"
Hell yeah.
Posted by: Mason Conservative | August 17, 2006 at 09:27 PM
One more comment on the "substance". Wonkette is an idiot for picking a sentence or two that someone writes, and using it to smear them with the term "racist". It shows how easy it is to take something someone says or writes, and make it into a charge of "racism".
In this case there's no way it will work, because in addition to the fact that it's a baseless charge, Webbstah has the advantage of being on the "right" side of the people who hurl the baseless racism charges 99.9% of the time.
Calling a person a racist is akin to using racial slurs, except if it sticks it can ruin their lives.
Posted by: charles | August 17, 2006 at 09:30 PM
I dont think anyone dragged the kid into this. Wonkette looked and found his space and it had some questionable writings that could be called racist. The Shad Plank also posted about it. The kid was smart and removed some content. I am sure there are those with caches and screen shots - so who knows what will come out next. It seems I remember the story of Hunter Pickles whose my space along with his girlfriends was posted and dragged through the mud for what reason? We are faced with the dilemma that is if Sen Allen learned from his mother - did this kid learn from his father? I say Absurd.

Charles- you rate a 1 maybe 2 on the gets humor scale, if it goes to 100. But you are doing an aweful job with mock outrage to cover your ass with defending your racist senator.
Posted by: Doug | August 17, 2006 at 09:39 PM
However you feel about Webb Junior's writings, he is an adult. Allen's son is only 15 years old. Lay off, people, that is the decent thing to do.
