Hot damn! All those poor deer about to lose their heads when Sen. Allen has nothing better to do with his time...
Posted by: Not Ben | November 06, 2006 at 12:22 PM
Doug's prediction of 55-45 comes closer everyday!! You have to believe Webb is seeing similar internals to exude the confidence displayed during the past week.

Time out.
Take a look at the inside numbers:
http://www.wdbj7.com/Global/Link.asp?L=213891
All of a sudden, thee's a 20 point gender gap?
Allen loses indies by 26?
Do ANY of you actually believe that? Honestly?
Posted by: MFLetou | November 06, 2006 at 12:29 PM
I sure hope Susan looks good in black, 'cause her husband's political career is scheduled to be humanely euthanized tomorrow.
Posted by: Thaddaeus Toad | November 06, 2006 at 12:30 PM
MFLetou-
Short answer: YES.
Posted by: Thaddaeus Toad | November 06, 2006 at 12:32 PM
MFLetou, honestly, I don't know what to believe. These polls have been wild.
Posted by: LAS | November 06, 2006 at 12:33 PM
heh, sorry NGB, yes.
Posted by: Doug | November 06, 2006 at 12:34 PM
Gender gap:
No, I don't believe it's that big. But I do believe the Undecided women are going to fall in party line with Webb.
Indies:
That big. Yes. Indies will go for Webb in large numbers. Allen has been far too negative to get those votes.
My predictions:
Webb: 50.5
Allen: 48.5
Other: 1

Even though its in support of my guy, I still don't ever trust Survey USA's polls of Virginia
I'm gonna say its still Webb/Allen 47/47
Let's blow them away up here in Fairfax folks
Posted by: Matt | November 06, 2006 at 12:34 PM
MFLetou...uhh, yes.

Do any of you poor GOP schmucks actually believe the horny women ads worked?
There was ONE WashPo poll that showed no gender gap. Every other poll before and after that poll has shown a standard gender gap...
Posted by: | November 06, 2006 at 12:36 PM
These polls are driving me crazy. But I still say Webb wins.
Webb: 50
Allen: 48
Gail: 1.5
Other: 0.5
Posted by: furrycat | November 06, 2006 at 12:37 PM
Well, all I can say that is that while the polls have been all over the place, the one constant has been the LACK of a gender gap in this race. Its actually made it quite notable.
The idea that a 20 gap can come from nothing overnight is just not plausible to me. Now, this is a weekend poll, and that's part of it (Allen polled badly last weekend, and better during the week this week), but even so...
I can certainly believe that Webb may win, don't get me wrong, but I think this particular poll is worthless.
Posted by: MFLetou | November 06, 2006 at 12:37 PM
Maybe Virginia's women don't like a wife spitter?
Posted by: | November 06, 2006 at 12:38 PM
OTOH, 22% of African Americans are for Allen? Did I read this correctly?
10% self-identified liberals are going for Allen? Are they ON DRUGS?
Webb up by 2% in the SHENANDOAH? Am I punchy from lack of sleep?
Posted by: LAS | November 06, 2006 at 12:39 PM
Don't count your chickens.
Posted by: | November 06, 2006 at 12:40 PM
You know, I don't think Allen's rally getting shut down by protestors and Allen himself getting shoved DURING an interview with WUSA is exactly what the Webb campaign wants to be portraying either.
Allen didn't lose his cool, as I'm sure the protestor intended, but there's no need to physically altercate with a candidate during an interview no matter how strong you feel.
Posted by: MFLetou | November 06, 2006 at 12:41 PM
GOTV for Webb, folks.
The only poll that matters is tomorrrow's poll. I'm heading out to canvass for Webb. See ya.
Posted by: furrycat | November 06, 2006 at 12:42 PM
The polls do not measure the machinery of t. t has already educated NLS liberals that t reluctantly pushes Allen over the top. When Allen does prevail tomorrow, you shall see.
Posted by: t | November 06, 2006 at 12:42 PM
The only poll that matters is tomorrow. In football language, it's 4 and 1 folks, either we win or allen wins. I am doing lit drops at 200 homes today myself. So far most people have been favorable to Webb.
