24th Senate District
Outlook: Leans Hanger
This primary will deserve a lot of analysis when it is all over- but it appears to me that the Scott Sayre attacks are not working. One of the problems in primaries is even if your attacks are true- they also have to be believable. In other words, it is possible to attack your opponent correctly, but still not have voters believe it. I think that is what has happened here. If that's right, Emmett Hanger is returning to Richmond.
Uh, could we have the general election first, before we send Emmett back to Richmond? I know as an incumbent in a conservative district he'll have an advantage, but a lot can happen before November.

Sayre just picked up another $25K donation yesterday per VPAP.

What are the correct attacks that the public isn't believing?

The attacks that allegedly "no one believes" are Hanger's votes for higher income taxes, higher sales taxes, higher gasoline taxes and in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

I think the outcome of this primary depends on where the voters are getting their info.
If they're relying on the internet, it's a 50/50 split. Those who get their info reading newspapers, they'll probably support Hanger. Those who have been informed via radio ads and/or mailers, then the pendulum swings to Sayre.
I'd call this a toss-up, personally.
