George Burke- Thomas Paine Patriot
Earlier today George Burke, Chair of the 11th District Democratic Committee left a lengthy comment attacking me and Lowell on RK and NLS.
I checked the IP, and lookie what I found:
.
.
.
War is On.
UPDATE: One quote from TPP:
"Lowell, like Goebbels, wants to be the master of misinformation about Webb and a CENSOR of free speech..."
Who is Goebbels? According to Wikipedia:
"Paul Joseph Goebbels (German pronunciation: IPA: ['gœbl̩s]) (29 October 1897 – 1 May 1945) was a German politician and Minister for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda during the National Socialist regime from 1933 to 1945. He was one of Adolf Hitler's closest associates and most devout followers. Goebbels was known for his zealous, energetic oratory and virulent anti-Semitism."
Yes, it appears George Burke compared Lowell Feld to a NAZI.

Hahahaha! Wow!

Hahaha.

Wow is right. Damns.
I may have to stop being mad at you.

Ben,
I only attacked Lowell, not you, because he wrote the comments. Besides, you are not a member of the Democratic Party.
You will find that neither your name nor the monoker NLS were mentioned in the "lengthy comment" you reference. Usually an "attack" on someone mentions them by name of at least mentions their blog.
However, your comment does illustrate another example of blogs not getting their facts straight.

Seems like the Connolly machine really hates blogs primarily because they dare question their primacy.

Wow is right. Let's not downplay the significance of this. This has potential WH'08 effects. Has anyone talked to Hillary or Obama's spokespeople about this???

I spoke to Hil - she's sending in Bill as a mediator!

Don Quixote gets ready to ride again.

I am a team player. But go forth on this one Ben.
I had to laugh at George's reference to Lowell's "elitist" picking and choosing. Does anyone, I MEAN ANYONE, out there believe that Connolly and the "strong-arm gang" within FCDC don't see themselves as above everyone else in the Party?
They clearly do, and have little time or respect for anyone who raises objections to their ghastly and undemocratic style of politics.
I've kept quiet about this for too long. It's got to stop.
Don Quixote or not, here it comes. :-) Truth always wins in the end.

I smell an FCDC leadership battle in the making.

Who gives a shit?

Burke is obsessed with Nazis for some reason. What about Connolly?

If y'all can hear that crackling sound, that's Shaun Kenney microwaving his popcorn. This one ought to be good.

The 5:33 comment was from George Burke also- his blackberry. Oviously a sarcastic troll comment to minimize what he has done.
Wise up George, we have the ammo now, just gathering it all up...

What's neat about this is how those who really hate this internets tube thing (it's not a dump truck!) don't get it. They don't get IP addresses, or network mapping, etc. That bit is slap nu**s funny.
I expect Not Ted will give George a call and splain it all to him.

Hahaha, this is a blackberry, alright, but not George Burke's. I just think this is funny. Can't you even tell that this isn't a Virginia blackberry?

Obama spokesman say: Ching Chong! I rike Ben Tribbett!

Mr. Burke should apologize to Goebbels.

You still use Napster?

Yeah, the paid version is really good.

Wow...I'm a racist for drawing Obama with big teeth. Okay. But then, so is this guy:
http://www.cagle.com/news/ObamaObama/main.asp
Steve Sack, Sandy Huffacker, Mike Keefe. All funny cartoonists, all show Obama the same way: with big teeth and ears. How is what I drew racist?
I just love how a comment on Burke being a loon can turn to somebody randomly attacking me.
Posted by: Dannyboy | June 13, 2007 at 08:27 PM
I didn't know big teeth was a "black thing".
I guess it must be racist simply because the target is black. That's an odd definition of racist, but one that many people seem to use when it suits them.

This is awful.

This is effing hillarious - and educational. I do grok the tubes but like anyone else don't know in advance whether the possessor of information will use it. All of us got a taste last month when Ben dropped a dime on Shaun. This one seems like it might have a more direct, immediate effect.
The solution for this is easy, and it's already the law in a different context. Disclaim your comment with your name. If you don't want anonymous or pseudonymous comments to bite you in the ass decades later, don't post them. Yes, it's true -- I've been converted to support James Young's position.
Best of luck George - where did those IPs come from? Ben -- good job, although you had to be dragged out of the closet yourself.
I control six or so IPs, although there's no way I can keep track of them, and which I post on. Since the marginal value of offering an occaisional comment not for attribution is outweighed by the possibility of being nailed down the road.
From now on, unless from the Richmond City Library, I remain, publicly,
