Leak from Governor's Office
A source close to Governor Tim Kaine tells me that Chairman Gerry Connolly called up the Governor right after the 4th of July to scream at him about the Coordinated Campaign not wearing local candidates stickers. Apparently the Governor said he was not getting involved in who was wearing stickers and Gerry hung up the phone on him!!!
DEVELOPING...

Ben, if this was a card game, I would say "BS", but even though its not- its still BS.

I have never been as mad as when Tim Kaine gave Boss Connolly $25,000 to use to attack other Democrats in the recent primary.

Dems need to stop being so cheap, if they seriously want to win. I bet there's some Jeannemarie-type who'd take on the role of part-time sticker consultant for $80,000.

and you call JMDD a stalker? This Connolly obsession is getting out of hand.

I know that all of the Coordinated campaign staff I saw on the 4th at local candidates stickers on.
Could it be that Kaine wisely wants to distance himself from Gerry and just didn't want to put his on?

I believe it. The arrogance of this man is something to behold. Never has someone so mediocre thought so highly of him/herself.

Well, you have a solution to Gerry. VOTE BAISE! Then we can get a good Democrat in 2011.

I'm a little bit shocked, Ben. I figured I'd see something about Harris' back taxes, but you went all judo and hit us with Gerry Connolly acting like an ass when we weren't expecting it.

t loves it when pro-abortion liberals squabble

Speaking as someone who was there stickering people for Chap Petersen, I can say that if the Coordinated Campaign was not wearing local candidate stickers, it was the fault of whoever was stickering for the local candidates. I, for instance, wore every sticker I was offered (by a Democrat).

t -- don't tell them -- just let them squabble. they do have a few good points.

Some of you go on about such trivial things. You should be living in my shoes. There are far worse things going on in this State! Get with it people.

Oh wow....
You've got to be kidding me.
The man running one of the largest and wealthiest counties in the nation should have plenty of reasons to be upset, and perhaps even upset with our Governor.
But one thing I wouldn't suspect it to involve--stickers.
Ben, come on, where is the perspective? Is your Gerry-hating so cureless that you really think this merits coverage.
That's why they call you the "Drudge of Virginia" I suppose.

Clarification: I am saying this as someone who is not wildly enthralled by Mr. Connolly lately.
Gerry needs a blog to respond to Ben's blather. I'd love to hear directly from the horse's mouth when stuff like this is said.
Not that I'd necessarily believe it all. But it would still be nice to hear it.

These are just signs of a campaign thats in serious trouble.

When was Jerry Connelly NOT an arrogant ass?
Posted by: Janie Oldham | July 14, 2007 at 01:32 AM
think maybe when he 1 years old he wasn't ... Did Gerry Connolly take lessons from MD Governor and Comptroller Schaefer on how run government? their styles seem very similar... esp how they deal with thier enemys

I just took a look at a picture I took of Gov. Kaine at the end of the parade. He had on Chap Peterson, Janet Oleszek and Rex Simmons stickers.
