Great, now I can go tomorrow afternoon and not have to worry about bumping into Mr. and Mrs. Milquetoast.
Of course, if you're wrong about this, Ben, I'll never forgive you - that would ruin my whole weekend.

Some might say that your remark could only be true if you were suggesting that Tom doesn't want to mingle with people that want to destroy the [Democrat] Party."
That doesn't sound like the Tom Davis I know. I find myself in one of those rare occasions where I doubt the veracity of your sources, Ben.
However, if it IS true, does that mean an invitation to his Christmas Party tags you as one who does NOT want to destroy the GOP?

JY,
There is a logical falacy in your reasoning:
IF Tom Davis doesn't want to mingle with those who want to destroy the GOP.
And
Tom Davis invites Ben to his Christmas Party.
We can deduce that Ben does not want to destroy the GOP
ONLY IF
Tom Davis wants to mingle with all of the people he invites to his Christmas Party
How many politicians who host parties invite only those they ACTUALLY want to mingle with?

ZB, you completely misread what James Young was saying.
When he said "you", he was referring to those who receive an invitation...not Ben.

I am not going to his Christmas Party this year.

Thank you TD.
Please continue to stay away indefinitely.
Now THAT would be a Christmas gift.

Tom is not boycotting the advance ben. He is on a congressional trip in the middle east right now that does not get back until December 3rd.Learn to get facts correct.

Ben...you're going to the Republican advance?
WHY?
Posted by: phriendlyjaime | November 30, 2007 at 06:56 PM
If Ben shows up at Tom's party, maybe Tom will pop him? Think Ben will take the opportunity to suggest in person that Tom quit by New Year? Or call him a bitch? Or call his wife a bitch?

"Ben...you're going to the Republican advance?
WHY?
Posted by: phriendlyjaime | November 30, 2007 at 06:56 PM"
Because once again Ben wants free food without working or paying for it. Plus, it's closer than having to run to Joey and asking for a "fresh Twinkie."

Rude. I am asking honestly.

PJ, I am sort of curious about that same thing...

PJ and Bwana,
You are asking the wrong question. It might be better to ask why any Republican would let Ben into the place, not why Ben goes there.
Posted by: Isophorone | December 01, 2007 at 03:28 PM
Of course, in the first sentence I was referring, ZB, to those Republicans who find Tom insufficiently partisan for their tastes.
I hadn't remembered those comments by Ben, but I don't think I would show up if I were Ben, either. His full partisan mode went over the top on JMDD.
And Phil: LOL. I didn't know Ben was a party-crasher.

Does this mean that Tom does not want to associate with himself and his whore wife?
Both Tom and the whore are bitches and I will tell them to their faces if I ever get the chance.

That's funny, I was chatting with his Deputy Communications Director Ali at the reception on Friday.
Seems like either the boycott speculation is silly or he forgot to tell his staff.
