I don't think I met Ms. Wilson but obviously she was a great leader in the Democratic Party. Would you please convey our condolences and sympathies to her family for myself and Eddie?

Leslie Byrne

Eve Wilson fought a good fight-for her party and in later years against cancer that claimed her. She will be missed by all who knew her. My condolences to her husband Bruce and the family.

Dominic Gabello

Eve was a very good friend and even better Democrat and she will be sorely missed. Thanks for posting this Ben, for those of us who are out of town for the holidays, we don't always here what is happening.

Ingrid in Arlington

I am so sorry to hear of Eve's passing. She was such a warm, friendly person; we will miss her. My condolences to Eve's family and to the 10th Congressional District Democrats.

Chap Petersen

Thanks for mentioning our friend Eve. My parents knew her from "back in the day" (35 yrs ago?) when Joe Fisher (D) was running against Joel Broyhill (R) for the 10th CD, and they were all volunteers.

Eve was part of the "Mews machine" that included Marian Tucker (who moved to VAB and became Chief of Staff for Tom Moss), Gene Moore (former Fairfax City Council), Phyllis Salak (former chief to Kate Hanley) and even Jane Woods (former Repub Delegate and Senator). All in one small Ffx City townhome community.

Eve used to tease me about how I used to cry at all their meetings (some things don't change). I know that she fought a long time against this cancer. Many thanks for the post.

George Burke

With the passing of 10th CD Chair Eve Wilson, the Democratic Party has lost a strong voice and a strong leader.
Eve fought hard for decades to promote Democratic principles and ideals just as she fought her cancer in recent years.
The 11th CD Democratic Committee sends its sincerest condolences to Eve's husband Bruce and the Wilson family.

Emilie Miller

I was out of town and just received the news. I will miss Eve, her bright smile and her hearty laugh. We go back many, many years together in campaigns, State central committee, FCDC etc. She was a hard worker for the Party and fun to work with. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Doug in Mount Vernon

I just heard this news, and it is very sad to hear.

Eve was patient, tolerant, and mentoring to everyone she came across, and I will never forget her good advice she was always willing to impart when renegade turks tried foolish things....

Eve, may you rest in peace, and know that you are loved and missed.

Jackie Madry-Taylor

What a great lady-so friendly and dedicated to the Democratic Party. She will be sorely missed!!

I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy to her family.

Phyllis Randall

Eve was a warm and wonderful person. She had great political instincts and was always so encouraging. She also championed women’s issues and believed women should become involved and empowered and the political process
She will be missed.
