The Examiner has also confirmed it. However according to Extreme Mortman, Tom Davis was still claiming on the radio this morning that he had not made a decision.
Yawn. Tom, would you just get out so Gerry Connolly can get in?

I think the real question here is: How long does Gerry Connolly have to wait to officially enter the race?
If he enters too soon, it definitely will appear as though he's only running because Tom Davis isn't. If he waits too long, however, then he could lose even more supporters to Doug Denneny and Leslie Byrne.
I think Gerry's best move would be to officially enter the race this afternoon so that he can still claim he entered the race before Tom Davis officially announced his retirement.

I've got several of these, so enjoy:
1)I guess JMDD is old product now, he needs a new woman to make senator
2) Not the first time Tom's been caught canoodling on the job
3) Now heres a stimulus package i can get into

Wasn't this the blog, Ben, that just days ago accused another politician of treating women badly? Ben, this kind of post continues that kind of disgraceful objectification of women that you sometimes echo. It is sad.
That's not to say that it's not funny to see Tom Davis do something like this, but I sure wish you would not post this king of stuff.
It adds nothing and worsens your reputation as a blogger.
