I've got to give Tim Craig a lot of credit for this article. It tells us all we need to know about why Democrats retook the Virginia Senate with professional top rate campaigns under the leadership of Dick Saslaw, while Democrats in the House under the leadership of Ward Armstrong ran embarassing campaigns that have left the House polorazied and Democrats embarassed.
Check it out, this is something everyone should read.
Shame on you, Ward, and congratulations to Senator Saslaw for shining once again.
I'd say it goes to show Saslaw is out of touch with Virginia.

I read this site now for entertainment. It has become a parody.
Well, and the occassional district analysis.

the two articles are the same.

Speaking of people that are out of touch...
Has anyone heard from Leslie Byrne and Gerry Connelly lately?
Posted by: | January 31, 2008 at 05:10 PM
it's easier to gerrymander small districts than larger ones, and all the VA districts are Republican gerrymanders.... say what you will about Ward Armstrong, I seem to recall that despite the gerrymanders, Dems have been consistently picking up House seats the past few cycles.

This is such a joke.

NLS...if Obama is the nominee will you support him?
Posted by: not anybody | January 31, 2008 at 05:38 PM
Did anyone see what Mudcat Saunders had to say about Hillary's chances of beating McCain? He is quoated in this snippet:
"There is at least one Edwards backer who won't be going to the Clinton campaign. The Washington Post reports Edwards aide Dave "Mudcat" Saunders said, "I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it's not Hillary Clinton. ... Hillary Clinton has about as much chance of beating John McCain as this Scots-Irish hillbilly has of becoming pope." Saunders's "logic is that there is no state in the country that Clinton can win that John Kerry didn't win in 2004. Which leaves the Democrats a state short of victory.""
Ben, how do you like them thar apples?

If Barack Hussein Obama is the nominee I will support him.

This Hussein crap is awful Ben, and no different than Republican swiftboat rhetoric. Please rise above.

polorazied?
Posted by: | January 31, 2008 at 08:45 PM
Hey dumbass, learn to spell polarized.
Posted by: | January 31, 2008 at 08:46 PM
ben,
could you please change obama's middle name, nobody seems to like it.
Posted by: | January 31, 2008 at 09:29 PM
no its not the middle name we dont like, its the air of right-wing style bullying we dont like
Posted by: | January 31, 2008 at 09:34 PM
how come Ben hasn't declared Hillary the winner of tonight's debate yet?
Posted by: Sam | January 31, 2008 at 09:49 PM
First
"the air of right-wing style bullying"
This is laughably hypocritical. It's the Clinton surrogates and supporters who are engaging in Rovian divide and conquer politics, just as Clinton tried to do again on the issue of immigration. Despicable.
Second
I take it most Clinton supports know how to polarize, just not how to spell it.
