I just found your site today. Man are you an asshole.

A) He probably should, but
B) Of course not. There is an absolutely 0% chance that the results will seem illegitimate because inclement weather forced the closing of an intersection, no matter how major. The only people who would are people who will find something illegitimate about the results no matter what happens.

HAHAHA

I agree with NLS, this is clear voter fraud to not keep the polls open when the biggest roads in the region are shut down.

"I agree with NLS, this is clear voter fraud ... "

Obviously God is an Obama fan.

Tell you what, Ben, we'll give you a pass on the legitimacy of Hillary's win in Nevada if you overlook this little problem with the Mixing Bowl...

We all know Federal workers get in at 10 and leave at 2

The Mixing Bowl brought to a standstill? How rare! That only happens Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm, national holidays, most weekends...

I'm thinking between God sending out the tornados on Super Tuesday, shutting down Southwest Virginia with fire and ice and now all those federal workers stranded in the Mixing Bowl, Hillary needs to read the writing on the wall and get out of the race before He really does some damage to her.

you can't be serious. most federal workers are big time obama fans. this is horrible news for obama.

GREAT POST!

"The Mixing Bowl brought to a standstill? How rare!"

Actually I use the Braddock Road exit on 495 (one stop from the mixing bowl) and since they fixed it in 2007 the delays there are rare and very short.

same here -- 395 sucks but once you hit the OKM Road exit traffic moves along since they've finished the Mixing Bowl.
It IS rare!

God, you're a nut. Polls show Obama winning in Northern Virginia, so I'm not sure what you're on about.

um.... most analysts and people "in the know" are saying that federal employees are overwhelmingly OBAMA supporters, not Hillary. Additionally, polling is showing the closer you get to DC (so the more federal employees), the higher Obama's blowout, not just amongst African-Americans, but white voters as well.

Sam, I agree closer to DC people vote more Obama- but Hillary's best block there and in the outer suburbs are federal workers who dealt with the Clinton administration.

This is really just as bad as denying women the right to vote today- that many Hillary voters are being held from the polls.

I found this site via the interesting district by district analysis of the vote here, but I stayed for the utter lunacy of the all caps, giant font, pro-Clinton advocacy.

Effective stuff.

Here's a novel question: Why didn't those Federal workers vote before they went into work? The busiest time of the day at the polls is in the morning.

That Ben is calling for extended poll hours sounds like Hitlery is trying to flush the books, and Ben wants to but her time.

NLS,

What are you basing that on? All personal surveys done since the Clinton administration have shown that most federal employees from the Clinton years hated working for the Clinton Admin, except the political appointees. Even the Democrats from the fed. have expressed that sentiment repeatedly (although most didn't hate it nearly as much as they hate working for Bush)...

"This is really just as bad as denying women the right to vote today- that many Hillary voters are being held from the polls."

Really. As many actual voting Hillary supporters travel through the Mixing Bowl as there are women voting today in Virginia? That would be what, like 500,000 people? Wow, who knew she commanded that level of support. For that matter, who knew there was THAT much traffic in the Mixing Bowl on a Tuesday evening.

IO,

As a Northern Virginian, I can believe 500,000 people on the Mixing Bowl... -.-

That they're all Hillary supporters, however, is absurd, in fact I believe they're probably Obama supporters, and we should want Governor Kaine to extend just as much as Ben does.

LOL. I thought this was a blowout? Or were you just trying to keep your readers (young Obama voters) from feeling the need to vote... and now your worried that the Clinton voters won't make it?

Your slip is showing!

I love it when poll hours get extended. That is never good for the establishment...

I've been home with a sick kid all day (no, I am not Ben's mom), so I have no plans to stay up late doing poll counts - much as I enjoy it. General elections I can find the trends in, primaries I find baffling.

Obama supporters should want to extend voting if they want their likely win tonight to mean anything

Sam - yes, this is my subjective understanding, as well, from my Dad. My Dad, a loyal Democrat, has been working for EPA since the Nixon era. His favorite administrations to work for were Nixon/Ford and Bush I. Least favorite were Reagan and Bush II, with Carter and Clinton in the middle.

He is not a big fan of "reinventing government."

Obviously anecdotal, but you've provided no evidence to the contrary.

But really, why argue about facts? We should be trying to encourage more lunatic pronouncements.

IF THE POLLS DON'T STAY OPEN FOR AN EXTRA HOUR, IT IS THE GREATEST COUP D'ETAT IN WORLD HISTORY SINCE THE 18TH OF BRUMAIRE!!!!
