Is he a Hillraiser? The company Hillary keeps. Hahahaha.

This is why my tax money is taken from me. To pay this man to ban plastics balls hanging from a truck. Woo Democrats

The bill while useless was not harmful...leave it to Republicans to give us guns in bars

Your argument would be alot me compelling if I could understand what he was saying. Nonetheless, I get the general idea.

And Not Mike Brown... there is no such thing as a bar in VA. Leave it to gun grabbing hippies like you to try and make it sound like we're reverting to the days of the "old west." If a citizen can carry a concealed handgun in the General Assembly Building, why the hell shouldn't he be allowed to carry on into an Applebee's at 6:00 for dinner with his family?

For what it is worth, a citizen cannot carry a concealed handgun in the General Assembly Building. As I understand it, only those with concealed weapons permits may carry, but they must carry openly.

This is absolutely hilarious. I'd vote for this bill.

To follow up on anon 2:16's point, places that serve liquor may also be required to serve food in Virginia, but I have 20 years of post-college shenanigans with my friends that says you're an idiot if you think there aren't any bars in Virginia.

Legally, he's right though: there are no "bars" per se. Places that serve liquor have to earn a ridiculous amount of profits from food sales.

It applies to places that serve LIQUOR...not to be confused with beer or wine. That said...I don't give a shit one way or another about that.

As for "leave it to Democrats," we all know the Falwellites are behind this sort of shit, too.

And I think it's less an argument against automatic delegates...and more an argument against Hillary nanny-state-ism.

Anon at 2:02 p.m., why the hell should you be allowed to carry concealed on private property when it may be very much against the wishes of the restuarant/bar owner?

The various hospitality associations across Virginia have fought this legislation every year--and with good reason. But their rights and the rights of other patrons don't matter, I guess.

As for the Old West, even Miss Kitty made them check their guns at the door.

I'll answer a bunch of these at once...

1. You ARE currently allowed to carry a concealed handgun in the GAB. That is a fact. Obviusly you need a permit to do so.

2. The bill does not "require" establishments to honor concealed carry laws, it only extends the sae types of laws to restaurants that apply everywhere else. Meaning that they can still have a policy against concealed carry, as many establishments do against open-carry. This however is a moot point since you theoretically would not know if someone is carrying concealed.

They are kind of disgusting. Think of the kids.

this video is hillarious...still laughing. Funniest part.."People come up to me all the time and ask me 'can I see your balls?"

Now you know why Dems can't win more HOD seats within the boundaries of the 4th District

The legislation requires the permit holder to let the owner know he is carrying concealed. THe owner can tell him (or her) to leave or let them stay.

Yes, and an earlier incarnation of this bill required the CCW permit holder to abstain from drinking. I'm sure every single one would have obeyed that part of it, too.

I am confused. Does the bill allow the carrying of concealed plastic testicles in Virginia bars or not?

Spruill's Bill matches his Legislative District.
Look at his 77th District map.

LAS, you dumb POS. Nobody is advocating FORCING private business owners let guns onto their property.

A little consistency would be nice, though. Why should a private property owner be forced to ban smoking on his property?

Yeah... that'll shut your trap pretty quick.

Anonymous--my, what a temper you have. And as quick with the insults as you are, no doubt, on the draw. Something of a dangerous combination. Packing today, are you?

One could make a remark about your pitiful lack of manly attributes, but it's just too obvious.

In any case, if a restaurant owner wants guns on his property, he may certainly allow them--as long as they aren't concealed. There are plenty of gun-rights advocates who do this on a regular basis--in fact, they have made it into their own cause celebre, as it were.

Once the gun is concealed, not only does the property owner lose his right to choose, so do the other restaurant patrons.

As for the smoking ban, I am actually in favor of it, along with most of the state. That is a public health issue. Restaurants in other states that have a ban on smoking--Florida, New York, California--have
suffered no losses or economic hardship. It's better for the employees and better for the patrons. A win-win situation.

dinga danglin under your truck?? lol

I saw some of these ghastly things dangling from a pick-up truck with TEXAS plates last week.

I agree with the bill as long as it applies to out-of-state drivers only!

Send the Bush-Texans back with their balls!
