Obama is destroying the Democratic Party

During the campaign Obama's campaign has implied:

Bill Clinton is a racist
Hillary Clinton is racist
Geraldine Ferraro is a racist
Bil Shaheen is a racist
and on and on and on...

Also. using HIS middle name is racist.

Releasing pictures of HIM on overseas trips is racist
.

I don't see any way how the Democratic Party can unite after this crap.

Some people use gender discrimination some use race to attempt to get ahead.

Either way when it is self serving it lessens their worth and viability to hold public office....

So she should quit and someone should tell obama to step down also.

They are both playing the system for private gain. obama worst of all because he is using an entire race of folks that truly want to believe in him, and he will leave them broken and disillusioned in his wake.

They are both idiots.

And you're a sexist racist for pointing that out.

The inferences that Geraldine is a racist is so horrible.

I am so disgusted by the Obama campaign.

Yeah I'm sure people in states like Arkansas (where Hillary is polling ahead in) and Ohio are going to like this whole "everyone's racist" thing. Seriously, we're so gonna lose if he wins the nomination.

Feminist v. blacks. It's going to be ugly. McCain has a shot with the D's meltdown.

Ben you hit the nail on the head on this one, and it is going to get much worse before it gets better.

Other black leaders have already began parroting obama and his use of race to squelch criticism, gain attention and generally shut down any opposition.

All of them know what they are doing, and it is despicable.

The people that do not see it are the truly naïve followers, who believe that their “leader” is out for something more than self promotion. Those who are too shortsighted to see that if he truly cared for his people, he would take every opportunity to show that although minority status can be an advantage; it should not be a crutch. Unfortunately obama is not only using race as a crutch, but also a wheelchair, hoping to sit on a color built throne and beat away all challengers with the race crutch.

As bill clinton redefined the acts that are considered sex for a generation; so does obama choose to forever stamp upon the foreheads of minorities a label reading “cry racism” it is the only way to get ahead.

bill’s legacy has placed our children in a position where we find that 25% of our young girls carry some form of STD. Will obama’s legacy prove even more costly? Will it strip the pride from the American minority as bill’s has stripped the innocence from our youth?

Or worse?

How far will obama go with these tactics? Will he keep the pressure up until there is rioting in the streets. Brother against brother again, American vs American again. He has single-handedly moved our country back 40 years, as he preaches to be the harbinger of change.

This man needs to stop these un-American tactics quickly, before even he can not control the passions he so casually inflames.

What a bunch of Ma-Kaka. It's real tough when the shoe's on the other foot, huh NLS?

and how has Hillary Clinton's campaign not stated that everyone's a sexist? In fact, Geraldine Ferraro flat-out claimed it. Again and again we here "The only reason Hillary's being attacked is because she's a woman."

This is complete bullshit and you know it, Ben. I'm sorry, but Bill Clinton implying the Obama's SC win is meaningless cause Jesse Jackson won there too isn't racist, but it's ignorant.

Geraldine Ferraro's comments are just as ignorant, though I won't say racist. How did "being black" help Doug Wilder get elected president when he ran? Or Carol Moseley-Braun when she ran?

Barack Obama is hardly the first black politician to run for President, so how come suddenly being black is enough to make him successful when it didn't for the others?

The fact is, the speech he gave at the 2004 convention is one of the best political speeches in the past thirty years. THAT is when people started talking about him, and it didn't have a damn thing to do with him being black.

Defending Geraldine Ferraro for her comment is ridiculous.

But moreover, every single phase of dirty, negative politicking this election has started with Hillary. Hillary's now the one saying that somehow Obama's states don't matter, his delegates don't matter, and superdelegates should decide the election cause they're smarter than the voters or something. Oh yeah, and she thinks it's ok to try to go after Obama's pledged delegates too, cause she knows she's gonna' lose the popular vote in the end, and that's the only way she'll get the nomination.

Yet Obama's destroying the Democratic party? Give me a break.

Oh yeah, and again, who started using race in this election? The Clintons. Obama took every chance he could to avoid any mention of his skin color until the Clinton's started the race-baiting in Nevada and South Carolina. Yet Obama should be blamed for the use of race? Again, give me a break.

sam,
You suggest that his rise to stardom began with the speach in 04. (I agree)

Are you suggesting that there was no consideration given to the fact that he was black when he was asked to give that speech?

sam,
obama has been the best at subtly using the race card. that is what has made it so effective. If he were to have started to overtly use the race card (as he is now) he would have lost most of his supporters long ago. He would have been no different than jessie or al.

Are Hillary supporters getting the MACACA treatment from the uber liberal Obama camp?

Yep. Out of context crap made to appear as if its an issue. Quick, Why doesn't someone enter Barak Hussein Obama's in Wikipedia as being a definition that means these things:

1.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is used by a white Democratic politician, who also happens to be a former President, it's simply code speak for re-enacting Jim Crow laws to grease the skids for the second coming of the South;

2.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is used by a Republican politician who is also a military veteran, it means that someone is bigoted against Islam, harems, two humped camels, belly dancers, flying carpets, and madrassas;

3.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is used by a white female Democrat, and former VP Presidential candidate, it means that affirmative action was meant to benefit only white females;

4.) When used by Louis Farahkan, it means the Nation of Islam will realize its manifest destiny....that the Ottoman Empire will finally defeat the Untied States.

5.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is used by Teddy Kennedy, Chris Dodd, and John Kerry, it means bare knuckled revenge against Bill and Hillary. A seondary definition here is that whenever Teddy drops Obama's name, he is subliminaly projecting an invitation to Michelle to ride with him across the Chippaquiddick bridge;

6.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is dropped by Oprah Winfrey, it means that its Okay for America to embrace an incompetent President with open arms just for the sake of diversity;

7.) When Barak Hussein Obama's name is announced as being the Democratic Nominee for President this summer in Colorado, it means four more years of a Republican being in the White House.

8.) And lastly, after he clinches the Democratic Presidential nomination, whenever Barak Hussein Obama's name is used by the Mainstream Media, it is an absolute dare for ANYONE, ANYONE to criticize his policies or voting record.

The Politically Correct crowd will overdose with all the branding opportunities they'll get to embark on against the average American. If they are getting away with it against Hillary and Bill Clinton, what will prevent the mainstream media from savaging the most basic American right--freedom of expression? The pilgrams left England for religious prosecution. Will Americans leave America for rational thought prosecution? You've been warned.

This is true modern "Progressivisim" in the United States folks. You, as Americans, will be blamed for everything just because somebody can get away with it.

When Barak Hussein Obama is elected the next president of the United States, the victimhood mentality will finally intersect with the entitlement mentality. The result? A socialized America that will rival modern day Europe. Change we can believe in...know what you are getting into Democrats. John McCain aint so bad after all! I expect Ben to head up Democrats for McCain.

10:21 - From what I understand, several people were considered, and with the attitudes of the country being what they were at the time, it was insisted that the speaker be consiliatory, not too anti-Bush, and inspiring. From what I hear, after speaking to several possibilities, whoever was in charge of choosing the person to speak felt Obama best met those criteria.

If being black had anything to do with it, I don't know, but it seems odd that the Democrats would suddenly choose a keynote speaker just because of their race. Traditionally, the Democrats have chosen keynote speakers who are relatively unknown, but that party insiders believe may be rising stars within the party (sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong). For example, since 1984, the keynote speakers have been Mario Cuomo, Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, Evan Bayh, Harold Ford, Jr., and Barack Obama. All (except Jordan) were relatively new to, or just beginning to run for their prominent positions at the time they spoke, and all seemed like they had a good shot at a strong future.

My guess is, Barack's speech-giving abilities had much more to do with his selection than his being black, though I'd certainly love to learn more about the keynote speaker selection process.

Sam,

What you just wrote is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent thought were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who reads this blog is now dumber for having read your comments. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

H/T to Billy Madison

This is so pathetic. Geraldine plays the Archie Bunker card and the Clinton team claims Obama is a racist. Yeah, throw the meadow muffins at the fan and when everyone is covered with crap declare hope a myth for the naïve.

The only difference between Bush and Clinton are policy differences – otherwise they have all of the moral character of Spitzer.

Pathetic

Idiot,

If you want to impress us with your "intelligence" why don't you actually point out something wrong with what I said instead of just insulting it. Or are you too dumb to know how to make a response to someone else? If so, I'll teach:

- - -

There, that isn't too hard for you, is it?

Wilder pulled the same sh&t when he was running...

gah... is this website not capable of printing angle brackets from comments? Fine...

[statement you disagree with] - [statement of disagreement] - [statement of why you disagree] - [evidence to support your disagreement]

html sucks...

And on top of all this, the Republicans managed to nominate the ONE GUY in the party the country doesn't actually dislike! I think Obama and Clinton, and the Dems in general, didn't think the GOP had it in them to realize the wisdom of putting the independently-minded McCain at the top.

I really think the Dems thought it would be us in this mess, and they thought it would be worse. Its funny to me because the Dems have lived for identity politics, and now the various identities are at war. This is going to get bad, and its going to be over Florida and Michigan.

"I don't see any way how the Democratic Party can unite after this crap."

Gee, Ben, that would be too bad (tee hee! tee hee!).

Oh Chris.... don't you worry. We're all mad and hate each other right now, but it's over personality and things of the sort. Once the nominee comes, regardless of which one it is, even Obama-hater Ben or Hillary-hater myself will jump on board. Especially the more people realize just how conservative, and un-moderate John McCain actually is.

Hillary Clinton and I have similar roots -- Scranton Pa. For any Clinton fans out there, you might want to see some of the videos surrounding her recent campaign visit there. http://www.scrantontimestribune.com/ttvideoplayer.htm?bcpid=1155834699&bclid=1171886702&bctid=1452257731 My favorite part is the noisy video of her eating pizza at a local pizza shop, and pouring on the red pepper. BTW, the latest polls show her narrowly carrying Philadelphia. If you know Pa. politics you know that means a big Clinton victory in Pa.

sam,
I found the answer to the question on weather race played a part in obama speaking at the dnc in 04

"The Kerry campaign announced yesterday that Illinois state senator and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Barack Obama, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s Democratic National Convention in Boston.
"In its press release, the Kerry campaign said: “More African-Americans……… will attend the Convention than ever before.”

looks like race was an issue then, has been since and continues to be such in the democrat color blind world.

I would hate to point out, as a life long Democrat and Hillary supporter, I cannot in good conscience actually vote for Obama. He is not qualified to lead this country in two wars, and a depression. Sorry fellow D's...this democrat is for McCain if HRC loses...
