Dispatch from Planet Janis
Apparently Delegate Bill Janis discusses this blog frequently in a law school class he is teaching at William and Mary.
First of all, whose idea was it to let Bill Janis teach a law class?
Second of all, why does this blog get discussed without an invitation for me to come down and defend myself?
Third and most important... whose idea was it to let Bill Janis teach a law class?

Bill Janis is a brilliant Catholic pro-life legal scholar and a dear friend of t.
t is convinced that Bill will be our next State Senator and then Lt. Governor.
He has transformed Henrico politics as we kmow it. He shall do the same statewide.
Praise God!

BTW,
The stocky dude is Mike Wade, another good pro-life Catholic, Sheriff, and current chair of the Henrico GOP.
A good guy.

Also, this picture was taken at "The Place" on Broad Street in Henrico, where Henrico republicans gather the first Saturday of each month to hug each other and commiserate over the state of the party.

That's a lot of commiserating to squeeze into one weekend--they might want to bump it up to two Saturdays per month.

Uhmmmm, Ben...Dr. Jones discussed your blog in a Media/Comm class a few years ago...
Sometimes there is so much material in a class, it's hard to fit in guest speakers.
Be flattered, not annoyed..it's good marketing.

Wow! That's really cool...isn't it?
I can see why you might be annoyed that you weren't contacted personally about this, however, even if only through a blog comment. It's not like you are on some other planet or anything.

It would be cooler if he wasn't bashing me!!!

You whine like a PMS-ing high school girl.
Besides, you DON'T want to be in that room with Del. Janis discussing the legal system, the General Assembly, or your blog. He'll make a complete fool out of you.

"Third and most important... whose idea was it to let Bill Janis teach a law class?"
Whose idea was it to let Ben Tribbett discuss law at all?
I can't wait for you to go after Hank Bostwick and his discussions of your blog in his high school classes.

Ben, you're such a fucking narcissist.

Bill Janis teaching a law class? That HAS to be entertaining, if nothing else. Does he wear that absurd little bow-tie when he performs?
And where do these "classes" go down? Some on-line unaccredited law school? Or is this some remedial basic legal system class at one of the community colleges?

The Mike Wade in the photo is not to be confused with the Mike Wade from Newport News, who is most definitely NOT a good guy and a TOP contributor to past year Republican loses.
Posted by: | April 14, 2008 at 02:02 PM
Well, it's better than Sam Rasoul teaching a law class.
Posted by: | April 14, 2008 at 03:49 PM
"It would be cooler if he wasn't bashing me!!!" OH! Ooops. I didn't think he was bashing you. Well, that's not very nice is it?
Of course, I'm used to getting bashed in all kinds of places, so I guess my theory is the more it happens to you, the less it will bother you.
But I bet that's not the kind of information you really need right now, is it? Sorry. I'm trying : )

Hey, at least Janis is earning a paycheck. It's probably the only paying gig he has had in the last year. The man is a loser, plain & simple & if it weren't for his GA job, he would be shoveling mulch for a living, just like a bunch of other full time politicians in the GA. Oh, excuse me....they are "consultants". Anybody know what else Janis does to earn a living?

NTK: He's an attorney
Posted by: notgretchenbulova | April 14, 2008 at 07:29 PM
Yeah, NTK -- Janis is a GA delegate, member of the state bar, and a law professor... but he's a loser.
As opposed to you, a pathetic, anonymous winner.
Phucktard.

Bill Janis is an arrogant "Asshole, and totally out of touch with Virginians. It is a real mystery how this guy gets elected. It is obvious the people in Henrico County do not really know this "Jerk" I cannot imagine this guy teaching anything worth listening to,and shame on William & Mary,he will do lots of damage to its students.

OK, anon. 7:35pm, Janis is a "law professor"? Is he an Assistant Professor of Law? A Full Professor? Or, is he just teaching a class? Just like Chris Peace & Ryan McDougle, he is teaching A class! Why? Because they can not make a living as lawyers! And, people like you are stupid enough to think that by teaching ONE class, they are professors. Janis, like Peace & McDougle, as well as others in the GA, like to pretend that they have income producing jobs. But, at least Janis passed the Va Bar exam, unlike his buddy, Chris Peace.

Bill is a former Naval Crtypological Officer. He also taught or still teaches at a Catholic High School in Central VA.
The guy could school Jim Webb in a debate on national security issues (after all, the Navy routinely crushes the Marine Corps anyway). Further, Janis has personally beaten a hand picked challenger that was chosen by Gov. Warner and Tim Kaine. Bottom line, he has kicked the shit out of many a Dem in his neck of the woods, so for those dissin the Janass, sack up with some accomplishments of your own before ridiculing a man who has been through the fights, and a man who the Dems can't beat.

Anon. 10:17pm. the point is not that Bill Janis is a politician, that he passed the Bar & is a Navy veteran. We all know that. The point is, does he have a real income producing profession NOW? If he practices law, tell us with what firm & what type of law? Is he a full time school teacher NOW? Get my point?

T, you never responded to my $20 bet... I bet you $20 that Mark Warner will win the United States Senate seat vacated by John Warner.
Posted by: Matthew | April 14, 2008 at 11:12 PM
Bob Marshall shall, indeed, vanquish Mark (empty suit) Warner.
However, gambling is illegal in the Commonwealth, so t must graciously decline.
t SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAKS

NTK, it's called "solo practitioner." Of course, a bitter loser like you wouldn't understand how someone could generate their own income. You're obviously someone who looks for a handout from someone else.

He is actually a partner at Kane Jeffries Cooper & Janis in Richmond.
