I speak for myself when I say: Ben, i believe your a fucking idiot. You have no goddamned tact whatsoever. You are more interested in getting attention then helping build up democrats. You are a Talk-About Whore; al you want to be is talked about. I've never used that language online, but you bother the hell outta me. But i've probably made it worse by giving you attention. Ah well.

Ben, going on and on about Gerry may get old...and some folks may be right you're barking up the wrong tree when it comes to "not backing Democrats."

But as we all know the Democratic party is a circular firing squad, working at its worst when turned completely inward...and working at its best when turned outward.

I don't know much about Gerry Connolly. Even if I did I wouldn't think Gerry Connolly's would be as bad for the party as other people in other districts are. I mean...we've got REPUBLICANS running in some districts...whose contributor list is stunningly similar to Ken Cuccinelli, like Sam Rasoul!

Anyway, Ben...keep it up. It'll eventually strengthen the party. Look at the Republicans. Because so many of them have been drinking Dubya's Kool-Aid, they're starting to fall apart in many areas!

If you really hate Gerry Connolly, June is going to be the best chance ever to get rid of him. I mean, if you send him off to Washington, then he won't be running Fairfax County and we'll get a new chairman. If he loses, you got his as chairman for three more years.

In fact, if you follow some of Ben's logic, Gerry would make a much better Congressman than Supervisor as his individual power will be mitigated by 434 other representatives, most with more seniority than him....

[Great Falls Assn of Rich Folks]

Those of us who have the massive incomes necessary to live in Great Falls empathize with the unnamed (and uninformed) Great Falls taxpayer (and RK reader) who attacked Connolly but refused to give his name.

We unnamed Great Falls residents was to make sure Connolly doesn't win the primary because we don't want him to hurt our investments in oil, gas, and coal.

Connolly would vote in Congress take away the tax breaks for the oil companies that hurt you little people but help Exxon line OUR pockets with stock dividends from record profits.

Connolly would vote to take away the special tax breaks on our capital gains that allow us to escape paying taxes on our profitable investments.

We would rather have Leslie Byrne because she has proven to be an ineffective legislator.

Besides, she has a cozy relationship with a Dominion Energy lobbyist who contributed to her campaign and sponsored her big fundraiser at the JJ dinner.

Byrne may talk a good game but she won't get anything done in Congress.

Connolly is a different story. He has a record of accomplishment and we don't want him screwing up our tax breaks for the super-rich.
