"Ayatollah Cuccinelli" vs. Frank Wolf
Farewell Frank covers it here.
First Ken Cuccinelli endorses Frank Wolf in the upcoming primary. Then he sends out the wrong date for the primary. With "support" like that...
Then as Bearing Drift notices, Ken shifts to the 10th District convention and endorses non-Wolf supported candidates for the State Central Committee.
Remember when a constituent of Ken's whose daughter was killed at Virginia Tech was testifying before his committee on the gun show loophole and Ken walked out? That was a chicken-shit move. So was this email- supporting Wolf while trying to undermine him at the same time.

Ben, we understand that you are an expert on "chicken shit."

okay VA Tech and this Cuccinelli Compass email have nothing in common. Talk about a chicken-shit move - that would be using VA Tech here. You're sick Ben.
Furthermore, Cong. Wolf probably ASKED Ken to do this on the compass (endorse him and say he was pro-life) because Wolf needs the Conservative base to turn out on Election Day. And who better to rile that base up than Cuccinelli. An open primary is a totally different topic than the stupid 10th District Convention, where I am sure Frank Wolf could really care less about who Ken has endorsed there or not.
Pathetic post Ben.

Ken Cuccinelli is the same man who blamed Janet Oleszeck for not improving FCPS's top rankings... the guy's a slimeball through and through, nothing with him surprises me.

Your post is incorrect. Frank Wolf has not endorsed any slate for the State Convention race. Franki's positon is to stay out of small local races as he needs all the help he can get in November.

Dan S,
I definitely agree with your comment. Why would Frank Wolf endorse any of the candidates? It would not help him gain any support, let alone assistance in the General Election.
As for the other comments saying that Frank Wolf is pro-abortion, this is a fallacy because he is pro-life and stands against embryonic stem cell research.

and i would be willing to bet ben - dan s is dan scandling - the congressman's cheif of staff. your blog is chicken shit, start writing about facts - it is your duty. i was mildly entertained whe coming to nrothern virginia and beginning to work in local politics with the whole blog nature in the area. even more so because i took mr. sabato's classes at uva. you really shoud change the name of your blog - although i didnt always agree with him he was a good professor. with the success of your blog, especially over the last years, you have a civic duty to tell the truth. gerry sucks for three months straight is - chicken shit. you were once mildly entertaining even for a onservative, but i have now realized just how silly you really are. you should follor your own advice - maybe this blog should be called
not amy gardner or
not brian mcneil or
not garren shipley

ben's mother -
As another former student of Mr. Sabato's classes, most notably his Campaigns and Elections class, I have to disagree. Ben calls himself "Not" Larry Sabato. Ergo, Larry Sabato gives thoughtful, non-partisan analysis, and Ben has his clear tilts, and posts a lot of rumors, some of which turn out to be junk.
But I would say this is not a bad thing. I, like everyone I believe, get pissed off now and again at Ben's posts, but have to ask, is it better for rumors to be floating around darkly and quietly, where no one can deal with them, or for them to be blown into the public? When Ben posts a rumor, it gives a candidate a chance to respond, a chance candidates didn't used to have. Ultimately, I think Ben can be a little eccentric, but I do think he does a service with many of his posts. Hardly "chicken shit".

Cuccinelli cares about life, provided someone can write him a check to care about life.
Pretty much the same as Joe Glover of the Family Policy Network. People get sexually violated in State Mental Hospitals all the time. But that's not the kind of "family" and the kind of "life" that Ken and Joe are interested in -- cuz they can't write checks.
The Bible is pretty clear on this:
"Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?'
"The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' Then he will say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you didn't give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you didn't take me in; naked, and you didn't clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'
"Then they will also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn't help you?'
"Then he will answer them, saying, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of the least of these, you didn't do it to me.' These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Arguably Ken is Catholic so he might not consider the Bible authoritative, but what about Joe?
