Who can forget the time he threatened to have Fairfax County employees thrown out of the government center for applauding speakers that supported a pay raise.
Gerry didn't want to hear it. He had other budget items in mind. Like the pay raise he voted himself.
So Gerry Connolly gets to work "part time" for $75,000 per year as a Supervisor, get a second "real" job that dwarfs that salary- but when people who work full time for the county come to ask for a small pay raise he threatens to throw them out?
Yep.
Gerry must be getting welts on his face from all the punches NLS is throwing at him.
Gerry, I know you are reading this. Get on this site and defend yourself like a man.

"Who can forget the time he threatened to have Fairfax County employees thrown out of the government center for applauding speakers that supported a pay raise."
Every Board is like that Ben. If they allow someone to applaud, then they would have to allow someone to boo a speaker as well.

Timothy- at a regular hearing I would agree. At budget hearings, large county boards usually allow this kind of behavior. The reason being you would rather have 300 people there cheering for their 3 friends giving testimony and then leaving instead of having 300 people take 3 minutes each to speak.
I've seen a lot of groups including the teachers do this before. Gerry didn't threaten to throw them out. The only reason these people were targeted is because Gerry didn't agree with them.

What a ridiculous assertion. What "large county boards" have this policy?

It's all in Ben's warped head. He has no sense of anything but personal hate toward a fellow Dem.
