It was a spirited campaign, and Hillary should be commended. On to the white house!

Now on to VP pick.

I put up on the big board at work an 87% chance that Obama works a deal with Clinton for her to be VP with some serious power. Maybe not Cheney's 4th branch, but some serious power and projects for her to do.

My second pick? Gov. of Kansas- Sebelius. Third? Jim Webb. Fourth? Colin Powell. Fifth? Chuck Hagel.

Ok, that's enough. McSame will win 6-8 states in November.

I figured that Richardson might also be a potential Obama VP pick. And let's see if Obama does as well as Michael Dukakis.

It’s time for the obama worshipers to come back out from the shadows.

Does this mean that he will start healing the sick again and the fanatics will return to fainting in his presence?

I suppose the terrorists and “America haters” are pleased as punch today.

Before Iowa, on Bearing Drift I predicted an Obama/Richardson Democratic ticket. I may have been right.

Given all the news about Obama's spiritual guidance (which you have so helpfully posted, Ben), are you going to vote for this nominee in November?

My wife called in late and asked, "how did it go?" My words, "It's over."

Obama's victory speech in North Carolina was another powerful example of why this man needs to be our next President. You Republican sympathizers should give it a listen. This guy is the real "Uniter"

I can't believe America's great good luck.

Bubby- it was great to hear last night. Now get your man Edwards off that fence with Al Gore and endorse!

Richardson = no.

Yay! Its good to be on the same side again, Ben. I'm looking forward to reading all about McSame's idiocy on here.

Is it too much to ask for an Obama banner to be placed next to that Mark Warner banner?

It should be either Brian Schwitzer or Webb as his VP.

Hillary should be something like Attorney General.

My friends, I also believe in hope and change. Come see my own user-created inspirational video, my friends.

Doug; Gore, Edwards, and all the Clinton's will be on board. Patience is a virtue (and a damn good dancer).

John- my friend, I am sorry to tell you, my friend, that you will be finishing your career, my friend, in the Senate. My Friend.

Want a good read about America and how Obama gets it right and McSame is doddering around looking for the League of Nations?

One great quote, written just for Rowhey:

"Were Iran to attain a nuclear capacity, it would complicate the geopolitics of the Middle East. But none of the problems we face compare with the dangers posed by a rising Germany in the first half of the 20th century or an expansionist Soviet Union in the second half. Those were great global powers bent on world domination. If this is 1938, as some neoconservatives tell us, then Iran is Romania, not Germany."

Bubby- I'll go get a bunch of singles!

Doug in Pulaski, lets see if McCain does as well as Bob Dole.

And let's have William Ayers as the Seretary of Education.
And Al Gore in charge of the EPA.

I think the Wright impact will decrease until it's a simple Swift-Boat type of dog-whistle that only AM radio listeners can hear.

After all, Robertson and Falwell said America was to blame for 9-11 and they didn't seem to hurt the GOP.

Kaine would be an excellent choice, but the public seems to like VPs with foreign policy credentials. Apart from that, southern, religious, and likely able to deliver 13 electorals from a state that typically goes red for presidents.

Anyone who thinks Kaine can deliver VA for Obama is completely nuts. Obama does better in VA on his own than he does with Kaine carrying his water.

Anon at noon,

How do you figure? He trounced Kilgore handily, he's a good speaker who likes to stump, and his religious views appeal to some GOP bases.

Webb is much better.

He needs help with white, working class "Reagan Democrats".

Well, its a no brainer who helps with that.

At about minute 16:00 in the NC Victory speech Obama gives a hat tip to Webb - talking about changing America from the bottom up. They sing from the same sheet of music, and are both exceptionally brilliant people. America needs smart, inquiring leadership, able to sort through the nonsense.

If this were 1938, Obama would be the one negotiating with Hitler and proclaiming "peace in our time." That and he and his pastor would be cheering Kristallnacht.

Then again, you and your ilk would be whining about how the Germans never attacked Pearl Harbor. Maybe you'd blame a bunch of warmongering Zionists for any urge to fight the fascists. Of course, you would change your tune when Hitler attacked the Soviet Union, the same way Pete Seeger did.

No wonder you all like Ahmadinejad. Of course, you and he have a certain, er, "passion" for goats.

Not much changes in 70 years, does it?

Easy on the booze there, Doug in Pulaski. Its only 1:25 in the afternoon, and its a Wednesday.
