The polls sure don't look good for McCain.
I'd like to comment on the irony of the head of the Los Angeles chapter of NOW endorsing Palin -- http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/10/la-now-prez-on.html
and the equally funny item of Obama about to unleash Keating 5 ads against McCain, while yesterday having John Glenn, one of the Keating 5, star at an Ohio rally for BHO.

Troops still giving 6-1 to Obama over Mr. Palin. Someone who goes against the GI bill and doesn't show up to vote against it? This is Chuztpa.

The obama campaign seems to feel that repeated lies and mind control are the keys to the future. We now see "obama youth" singing praises and pledging allegiance to obama.
The fact that this type of propaganda is used, much less is working, on the most vulnerable minds of America is scary.

Ben - it is over. Of course Obama will probably come down from his current projected win of 300+ electoral votes, but McCain is just not going to win with these tactics. They are small ball compared to the economic worries that are pushing voters.
And it ain't like Obama doesn't have a treasure trove of opp. research to respond with. Not to mention several times more resources.

Senior McCain Adviser: We'll Cut Medicare
McCain adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin tells the Wall St. Journal that McCain would pay for the tax credits in his health plan with deep cuts in Medicare and Medicaid.
Ovah.

Obama wins VA by at least 3 points. He wins Iowa, New Mexico, New Hampshire, and Michigan by similarly comfortable margins. Then there are 7 other Bush states that Obama has even, or nearly even, odds to win.
Posted by: brimur | October 06, 2008 at 01:22 PM
obama isnt winning virginia or the presidency.
your going to be dissapointed, lemming!
Posted by: | October 06, 2008 at 01:28 PM
No playing hooky from middle school 1:28! I'm not really sure you know what the word lemming means either.
Bets on Mr. Palin snapping and going after Obama with a Bowie knife tomorrow night?
Posted by: Your Retarded | October 06, 2008 at 01:37 PM
i see obama has you in his liberal facist mind control, but the rest of the country wont be dupped.

The U.S. is on the verge of electing the most liberal Gov't since LBJ, possibly FDR and there is no national conversation about this. For example, take a look at this... http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?print=yes&id=28876
The national media won't even mention this sort of thing. Voters are not making an informed decision. It's as big a media failure as "WMD in Iraq".

we will be forced into unions where we have to sing songs of praise to barack hussein obama...weake up america!...

virginia will not vote for a liberal fascist!!
Posted by: | October 06, 2008 at 12:53 PM
The person who wrote this is a moron. Fascists are inherently conservative. If you want to challenge a liberal, call us commies or something accurate. Bush, McSame, and Cheney could accurately be called fascists.
That having been said, I believe this McSame ad will be ineffective. The economic news keeps getting worse and worse and that's what voters are focused on. Not a year-old comment about troops in Afghanistan. The more effective (and timely) line of attack is the one Obama is launching today about McCain and the Keating S&L scandal. It deals with the deregulation problems that contributed to the mess we're in. As Bill Clinton said (or was it Carville?), It's the economy, stupid!
As an aside, Hail to the Redskins!
Posted by: John | October 06, 2008 at 01:48 PM
John,
You are wrong, facism is not conservative, and anyone who will argue that a "year-old" comment is not relevant, but a twenty year old scandal is does not have much room to throw around the "moron" insult.
Posted by: | October 06, 2008 at 02:31 PM
the economy is irrelevant.
what matters is bill ayers, rev. wright, tony rezko, and the facistic tendecies of barack hussein obama...
