There was one?

#VA-Gov Blue Commonwealth blog latest victim of The Macker Touch where everything Terry McAuliffe touches turns to %&*#

I don't understand the schadenfreude here. There were blogs that were critical of Moran and plenty of blogs that praised Moran on that site. Doesn't it hurt the Virginian blogosphere (and Democratic politics) when a central site like that goes down? It had growing pains, but it was never given a chance to become anything by Ben or the potato (who I'd never heard of and have yet to find anything of substance on his/her blog).
While Ben and the potato (and maybe some Brian Moran staffer) can claim victory, i think people who care more about discussing politics w/ substance lost before they had a chance to even get going.

This would be a sad day for the blogosphere, were it not for:
1. The fact Blue Commonwealth had lost all credibility after Josh sold out
2. Dave Leitchman has got to be the worst moderator evah
3. Everyone knew McAuliffe would destroy what he couldn't buy
4. There is no loss when a progressive blog doesn't do its job and stand up to people like McAuliffe
5. The new Angry Potato blog has provided more value than BC since Josh and Lowell trashed the credibility of the word "netroots"

"See it here".
Like it is a tractor pull or a train wreck.

Seriously . . . LI and I have gone at it over intra-party stuff for months and it doesn't bother us. There has to be something else going on . . .

Thank you for linking to the Angry Potato - I haven't laughed that hard in ages. I don't know who is doing that site, but he's hilarious.

Brian the reason you like the Angry Potato is because you are a Republican and he trashes all the Democrats.
The Angry Potato is either a Republican, despite his claims that he is a Democrat, or he is a useful idiot for the Republicans, which is pretty much the same thing.
And he's not funny, he's nasty in the way seven year old school yard bullies are nasty. What he does is not satire, it's ridicule. The point is to humiliate people.
And he doesn't have the guts to give his true identity. He's a gutless coward on top of everything else.

"~ code / Admin / Dave" is quite the little whiner. Stay on the porch next time, sparky.

He did. He was outed and his boss was implicated. He was neutral.
It's a matter of protecting one's livelihood. You know, there are adults who have day jobs.

Is it really that reason, or the whole internal email flap over trashing NLS??? Remember, if another internal email went out from the main group, he was going to shut down the site.

It's funny to people who have a sense of humor.

AIAW, I don't think Angry Potato is a Republican - I don't know any Republicans who can come up with his kind of put downs. In any event, I see your point.
Anyway, long time no see! Say hi to Dan for me.

I will Brian. Glad to see you on the blogs and in Virginia :)

Oops, I don't know if it took so if this is a double-post, please forgive me.
I will say hi to Dan, Brian, and good to see you in Virginia on the blogs, even if you are one of them :)
BTW, I do know several Republicans witty enough to do those put downs. Don't sell 'em short.

When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President. Now I’m beginning to believe it.
