Virginia
Governor’s Debate at Virginia Tech
Hosted by Not Larry Sabato, The
Huffington Post, Fire Dog Lake and the Collegiate Times.
April
29th, at 7:30 p.m.
It’s time for the big formal announcement. We are teaming up for the first ever Gubernatorial debate sponsored by the netroots in history! Creigh Deeds, Terry McAuliffe and Brian Moran have all confirmed their participation and accepted this historic event.
Every question asked will come from YOU- through Youtube, Twitter, and open threads on participating blogs.
Our Youtube Channel and Twitter Handle just went live today.
To submit a question on Youtube, just record your video (15-60 seconds please) and upload it to your youtube channel. Then you can send a message to our channel or shoot us an email at VAGovDebate@gmail.com to let us know your question is posted.
To ask a question via twitter, just send an @ message to our handle at VAGovDebate. We will retweet all questions as they come in on twitter from that handle, so you will know that we received it.
We’ll cut off questions a couple nights before the debate and our excellent panel of Jane Hamsher from Fire Dog Lake, Nico Pitney from the Huffington Post, David Grant from the Collegiate Times and myself will meet to select the questions that will be asked on April 29th.
You can ask
as many questions as you want- and they will all be given equal consideration.
One request- it would be helpful if you noted your home City and State
when asking a question so we can ensure an appropriate balance of questions in
state vs. national, and regional balance of the questions from
Virginians.
Thanks for participating- this should be a lot of fun!

Could you repost this in bigger font? I think it's way to small. Each letter is only taking up 25% of my screen. Thanks.

Ben, great venue, great hosts and great participants. You have a lot of work still ahead of you on this but you should feel very proud.

Ben,
This is great - can I submit a question on this thread or are you going to set up another thread for questions?

I really like the idea of user-generated questions, but doesn't posting them to the twitter page and youtube channel mean that we'll just get canned responses from the candidates who will now have access to all the questions ahead of time?
