Why the hell is Brian Moran so against job creation in the 4th Congressional District by opposing the new coal fired power plant in Surry County? Additionally, why the hell is Brian Moran attacking Smithfield Foods, another huge employer in the 4th congressional District? I guess its acceptable to be from NOVA and attack the livlehoods of others when they don't live and vote in your region of the state.
Screw you Moran, not all of us live close enough in DC to land a fat federal government job like most folks in your former House District.
Moran is a job killer for folks outside of NOVA. Again, we can't all work for the federal government so don't take away our best opportunity for job growth damnit!

is it me, or did brian just completely step over the line. it's one thing to draw contrasts with your opponents/ point out their flaws. It's quite another to be downright nasty.
The shrill tone he took tonight reminded me a lot of John McCain's tone in the last debate as the election was slipping away from him.

nbm,
Maybe he was frustrated by the continued lies.
I was.

Agree with the two top posts. Does it really help to understand Virginia to go to Richmond for a few days each year? Doesn't seem to in Moran's case. Virginia is a big and diverse State. A governor represents it all, not just a very small part of Alexandria which is not representative of all Virginia. He needs to stop pandering to special interests and attacking his fellow Democrats and think about all Virginia. Is this why he has accomplished little or nothing in the legislature?
A good Democrat can't put down his fellow Democrats and win. A good candidate needs to lay out a positive plan for all Virginia. Brian Moran seems so oblivious to the other parts of Virginia that he can't get past putting other candidates down. Then he inadvertently shows that he doesn't understand that other parts of Virginia need good jobs and better education opportunities.
I like Terry McAuliffe more and more. He's smart personable and a very quick study. His business plan has lots and lots of detail. He's looking to do great things for all of Virginia.

I think a big "Thank You" should go out to Ben tonight. He did a great job not only organizing this event but moderating the debate. A wide array of issues were covered and the entire audience, both in Blacksburg and globally connected, enjoyed a fantastic exchange of ideas and in some cases, jabs. Thanks again, Ben!

Ben, you did a great job. As I saw someone point out, you were very effective at cutting the candidates off so they stayed under their time limits. And it looked like you were having fun. Great job.

Smithfield Foods has a terrible environmental record and treats their workers like $%&*. A new coal plant in Surry would destroy the environment.
It's not about "killing jobs," it's about making Virginia a more progressive state and the mentality of the Smithfield Foods and Dominion managers just don't cut it any more. A new day has dawned in our Commonwealth and it's time to stand up for workers and God's creation.
Thank you, Brian for your willingness in speaking truth to power! Because THAT would definitely be the Change we need in Richmond.

Agreed with the last two, great work Ben. This one was much more interesting than the one in Williamsburg.

I think the fact we have a pandemic caused by animal waste (those who need to know how swine flu is made - feel free to go check) which is a topic McAuliffe has been talking about the entire campaign just goes to show how comprehensive and forward thinking his campaign has been.

Bill,
Assuming you understand how the virus originated, are you suggesting that the bird waste that is part of the original incubation will be solved by McAuliffe?
How does his “forward thinking” plan include keeping birds from relieving themselves near pigs?
If he does, in fact, have a workable plan to educate birds to do their business in specific areas my flag pole and the local golf course are very interested.

Obviously the childish comment above was not from me. However if there is such a movie I shall check it out..lol.
I often wonder why some people continue to abuse this woman when she is now out of the game.
If you really want to make some hay with someone’s dim-wittedness Biden is a valuable and appropriate source.
I’ll critique the movie, if you guys fairly point out when Joe’s foot in mouth disease flairs up.
