best move this campaign season - dumping Jeff - could you imagine if he had still be RPV chairman....

What a trainwreck, getting rid of him was the best move McDonnell made.

Ben:
Shouldn't you rank the Contemporary Conservative as a Gold/Platinum blog in your blog roll for running the Hitler Paradoy Ad, and for the great blog-i-fying that blog did in the lead up to Frederick's removal earlier this year?

As a Virginia Republican I cringe every time I see this clip. Thank god the State Central Committee removed this buffoon.

I'm guessing predicted Democrat fortunes are making Ben increasingly desperate for anything upon which to hang his hat: this happened considerably more than "just over a year ago...."

And just over 4 years ago, Amy Frederick was crushing the competition in the Hottest Wife Contest.

Never really noticed before, but the look and enthusiasm Bill Bolling had was really telling. Didn't really seem all that thrilled.

It was the beginning of our resurgence getting rid of Frederick. He was everything that is wrong about the party. Pat Mullins has been great and the RPV has run circles around the DPV this cycle.

It was all a secret plot.... get Jeff Frederick to lead the party so as to speed along the RPVA's descent to the lowest of lows, allowing the RPVA to then get rid of him and start a resurgence.... It was brilliant!

Fredericks opening sentence was:
“Thank you VA republicans, are you ready to start winning again”
Somewhat prophetic don’t you think?
Next he thanked God, which I do also, that we might be back on track towards a sane government.

It would have been better had he used “conservatives” instead of republicans when speaking of pending victories.
Polls show that most independents are more aligned with conservatives than a particular party, and we know that many more republicans lean conservative than democrats.
I find it interesting that the D-23 race has now gone to a conservative v a democrat, and the numbers look pretty good for the C’s.
The only thing that leaves in question is NJ which should be a 60-40 blowout for the D’s but has turned out to be very competitive.
Even before election day I hear meatloaf singing “2 out of 3 ain’t bad”. This by itself is telling but a sweep of all these races will hopefully bring the Washington democrats back to reality so that they begin to look out for all America instead of just their fringe fanatic friends.

Change -
You amuse me. And I mean that in the most condescending way possible.
The Republicans will win in VA in 2009. And they'll grab 20-25 seats in the House in 2010 and probably 2-3 Senate seats.
And you know what? This will embolden idiots like you to nominate Sarah Palin in 2012. You're probably already cocky enough to do it, but some victories in 2010 will convince the teabagger fringe that Sarah Palin is the ticket to victory.
And then she will lose by 15-20% nationally.
It's all so predictable. I'm enjoying your cockiness.

I should add - Sarah Palin could probably at least break 43% if the election were held today. The problem is that Obama's haters trend older (and whiter - but let's forget about that for now). In 3 years, a huge percentage of these racists will thankfully be dead. That's going to bring Palin's vote ceiling down from 43% to about 40%.

Thank God that nightmare is over, but now J-Fred is tweeting about whether or not it is time for a Conservative Party in Virginia. I'm sure he sees himself as its divine leader.

MWCC,
Glad I could give you a laugh, but you might take a look at the latest info from D-23. The “so called” republican candidate has now backed the democrat.
It is no longer “enough” to call yourself a R or a D voters are looking at actions; and since most voters consider themselves “conservative” and less than 20% consider themselves “liberal”, I would say that being conservative is a much better starting point.
You seem to have some issue with Palin, I don’t know what it is but I never mentioned her in my post.
Get a grip on yourself (or maybe loosen the grip you have).
btw,
It is no consequence to me how condescending you wish to be as I don’t consider your opinion to be intelligent enough to matter. Work on your ability to present your points in a more skillful manner and you might make some difference.

Hahaha, oh the irony of it all. This man believed and still believes that he had the Republican party's best interest at heart. He's one of those that will do and say anything to get where he wants - including stealing money and tweeting about things that are best left to the leadership to discuss.
And Amy was really the "hottest" wife? I guess if you find loud mouthed, rambling idiots hot.
Thank goodness they are finally gone!

“And Amy was really the "hottest" wife? I guess if you find loud mouthed, rambling idiots hot.”
If those are the qualifications, I think DIMV would rank right at the top. It could finally give him an election victory.
