In Georgia, they are now having the same debate we had in Virginia this winter about the forced implantation of micro-chips. As TPM reports:
At the intersection of political paranoia and old-fashioned, clinical paranoia you'll find microchips. Tuesday, we brought you the story of a Georgia woman who appeared before lawmakers debating a microchip implant ban and testified that the Department of Defense had implanted a chip in her "vaginal-rectum area."
Here in Virginia, the bill passed the House of Delegates by a shocking margin- helped by a speech in support from David Englin. Luckily Dick Saslaw set up a special committee in the State Senate to kill the bill and prevent us from becoming a national laughingstock on yet another issue.
No word yet on the Georgia woman with the defense department implanted microchip in her "vaginal-rectum area" will be doing a fundraiser for Englin to thank him for his help. We'll keep you posted.
UPDATE: VA Blogger in the comments brings us the news that no fundraiser is planned. The Englin's are obviously very upset and the graphic is back on the right...
if putting a microchip in someone is crazy; what's the harm in passing a law to ban such a move?

I say we give tax credits to companies that implant micro-chips. We will attract every micro-chip implanting corporation in the world.

Best to all.

Too bad about the fundraiser. I could use the money!

DE,
I am sure you will get better support from those who see you as realistic on issues than you will from those uber’s who slam you here.
Vote your conscience, it will serve you well.
