Why would Joe Morrissey introduce a bill to confirm a right already given to the National Guard by President Obama and the Congress last week? Where was his bill when this could have actually mattered last year?
Media Whore.

Well that should certainly complicate Democrats assertion that Marshalls bill is unconstitutional, It uses essentially the same states-rights argument.

@joetaylor: what the hell are you talking about? learn to speak coherently.
@ben: Perhaps you would be so kind as to fill us in about the back story between you and joe morrissey? Did he not return you phone calls/emails? not pick up the check at 5guys? Bang your sister/mom? Because this doesn't sound like a personal vendetta at all.
@delegatebob: I find it odd that a virginia state delegate has nothing better to do with his time than troll blogs less than a month before the start of the general assembly? Did you already solve the budget shortfall and debt, fix our transportation gridlock, and make sure our schools are the best they can be?

How does Morrisey being wrong too make Marshall right?

What I meant was that the premise of so many Democrats (and many Republicans) is that the Federal Government alone deals with military qualification issues. For that premise to be true, Virginia could neither codify an affirmation or a restriction.
I am undecided on whether the premise happens to be true or not, I was just pointing out the intellectual disunity of this bills opposition.

I wouldn't take the disgraced, disbarred Del.Joe Morrissey too seriously. He is always looking for media attention, particularly when he is suing someone.
