Would that Marsden could be so lucky. Flanary is a conservative ideologue who's held precisely one job outside politics in entire his life - which doesn't take away from the fact that that one job, as a Marine Corpsman, is an admirable one.

Still, this guy has career politician written all over him!

I'm sure he'll raise a boatload of money, but what can he actually bring to the table as far as experience, except doing whatever the Republicans tell him? Jason Flanary has not paid property taxes in Va, has no children (let alone of school age), he feels not our pain. He is a post USMC bureaucrat. We have enough of them already, he will not get my Republican vote. Another embarrassing candidate.

Funny thing Roger... Flanary owns a home in the district, so that rules out your property tax and your "doesn't feel our pain" nonsense. I'm not sure if he has my vote, but I am certainly willing to talk to him and let him earn it. We need a candidate that can defeat Marsden.
