David Bowers might have a shot at going to Congress yet!

i wonder if john kyl's letter of apology to her included the line "not intended to be a factual statement."

Andrew- no Bowers bashing!!!! We've talked about this before. :-D

If Bowers runs for anything else ever (he won't) that's at a higher level than Roanoke, I'll go work for him. This is intended to be a factual statements (he's not running, ever).
The 6th is still not going to be competitive, even if Hurt gets some of that territory. The only way Roanoke matters in US House races in 2012 is if it goes into the 9th (it won't).

NLS-I'd be real suprised if this lady can draw 25% against Goodlatte in a primary. Nobody in the 6th District (well no Republicans, which is all that matters) are mad at him. He will likely have a lot of voters who don't know him in the northern end of his redrawn district but I can't really see him having a problem.

i agree with Steve. Also, Goodlatte has accumulated a bit of campaign money.

Kelley: Well, he should have. Whens the last time he actually needed to spend any?

Damn! I was hoping that Goodlatte's primary opponent would be his constituent, Morgan Griffith. Now that would be a contest--Two scorpions in a bottle!
Oh, and the 9th District would have a chance to get a real congressman.

I like the way BearingDrift picked up my story as their own.

Cha right, and monkeys might flight out of my butt.
Why would voters get rid of a noncontroversial politician? Who else is on your "tossup" list: Wittman? Cantor? Moran?

The 6th is probably the worst CD in Va to challenge a Republican from the right. This will help Bob and give him an excuse to ramp up fundraising even MORE.
