The LCDC is in full implosion mode, especially with their candidate recruitment. The comments on that post from Josh Actor himself are quite illuminating as to his fitness for public service.

Given the minuscule compensation, the enormous fundraising demands, the hours away from family, the need to take leave from a job, it is simply amazing that anyone runs for any public office in the middle of the worst economic times in a century.
5 of 10 FFX superviors have no opposition. Most delegates in FFX have no opposition.
But thanks for dumping on folks who are willing to do DPVA the favor of stepping forward, Ben.

Whoooaaa. You think this guy is doing the DPVA a favor??? That's the funnies thing I've seen since I saw Josh Actor's Facebook page.

If LCDC had a better alternative, why wasn't there a primary?

If you can't scrape together a lousy filing fee, and then go to other candidates--who have their own races to worry about--for the money, you're probably not doing anyone any favors.

Because they are scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel, Martin. LCDC candidate recruitment is atrocious - they're too busy going on internal witch hunts against supervisors who don't vote the way they want them to.

it only costs like $250 to file I thought......

It is my understanding that LCDC is requiring candidates that want to be certified as the Democratic nominee to pay to the LCDC a percentage of the salary of the office as a filing fee.

LCDC needs to take a page from the Democrats in the 31st Senate District when they screened out a potential down-ballot douchebag or two earlier this year...

NDM- State Senate is top of the ticket this year, those were up-ballot douchebags they screened, thank you very much.

This is definitely a blog worth following. You’ve got a great deal to say about this subject, and you can also tell that by the huge number of comments!
