One way that you can judge the strength of campaigns is the finance reports filed with the state.
In the biggest development- for the new reports out yesterday, Dianne Blais, the independent against Tim Hugo has outraised Brian Schoeneman, the Republican running against David Bulova. It's clear the Blais campaign is ready to roll into November, while the Schoeneman campaign seems to be coming apart.
Put a fork in Hugo. He's done.

Oh, that tongue-in-cheek humor! The VPAP reports are not quite in line with Ben's contentions above...

The best campaign song since Sinatra did the redition of "He's Got High Hopes" in the 1960 Kennedy Campaign...(sigh)...you NOVA's are just toooo sophisticated

I especially like that rhyme of "U.S. Senate" with "independent."

Oh come on, this tune doesn't hold a candle to Larry Roeder for Loudoun County!

Now that's truly the worst campaign jingle of all time.

Today many campaigns are running for the growth of nation. You can judge its strength and results through the finance reports given by the state.

"Oh, that tongue-in-cheek humor! The VPAP reports are not quite in line with Ben's contentions above..."
Blais's report:
http://www.vpap.org/committees/profile/home_raw/3409
She raised $1,335 in the past three weeks and has $3,715 in the bank.
Schoeneman's report:
http://www.vpap.org/committees/profile/home_raw/3266
He raised a whopping $175 and has $2,348 in the bank.

True, but Ben did not say Blais had out raised him in the last three weeks, he said "outraise".
VPAP also reports that up until 8.10.2011 Blais had raised $5320.00, while Schoeneman had raised $29,269.00...which means that for the campaign even with her recent burst of $$ she still has raised substantially less than Shoeneman.
This is what Ben does come election time and what gets folks riled-he omits facts and shades the truth.
It would have much easier to just post Schoeneman's numbers for the last period and say "he's toast"...
So, you can either look at his post above as written as being less than 100% accurate, or an attempt at humor-I chose the latter

Bwana, I was joking obviously about Blais surging, but I was not joking about about her outraising Brian. I said "the new reports out yesterday"- people compare each period for candidates usually, I thought that was implied.

who is this guy donald marro? he took a loan for 100k???

Scoeneman is a complete joke. If he can't raise money from individual donors he can't win -- period.
And anyone who lists work as a political appointee in the final year of a lame-duck presidential administration as "public service" does not know the meaning of the term. Firefighters, teachers, and civil servants are public servants. Getting an appointment at the end of an administration because all of the actual appointees left is not public service. Sorry, but I'm with NLS on this one.
